District Theme – “Building our future”

Welcome to the Lions District 4L2 web site! Lions Clubs in our area provide opportunities for people in all walks of life to give back to their community. District 4L2 supports Lions clubs in Southern California from Long Beach on the south to Pasadena on the North and from East Los Angeles to Covina/West Covina on the east. While Lions clubs are known for our focus on sight and hearing assistance, we also provide resources in other ways to improve our communities. We are part of Lions International, the largest service club in the world with more than 46,000 clubs in 202 countries and nearly 1.4 million members.

I would like to extend a warm invitation to anyone who would like to learn more about Lionism and the good work that we do. Please click on my name above, and I will get back to you with more information. If you would like to visit the website of a club in a community in our area please click the link "Lions & Resources" on the left and a list of our club websites will be provided. You can link directly to that club's website. Our mission in Lionism has never wavered: "We Serve." Again, thank you for visiting our web site. We hope you find the information helpful. Sincerely,

Khan Kayum, District Governor 2010-2011(Please click here for more information)

Dear Lion Members:

Habitat for Humanity is coming to Norwalk. (The Old Lucy’s Market on Alondra Boulevard across from Cerritos College)

• Did you know the Lions Organization has a partnership with Habitat for Humanity?

• Did you know that former President Jimmy Carter, who is also a former Lions District Governor, was one of the founding fathers of habitat for Humanity?

Habitat for Humanity Los Angeles has contacted the Norwalk Lions and is asking for our help. Currently they are trying to open the Norwalk store by July. In order to do this they are asking if we can volunteer and help get the Norwalk Store ready.

This is a great project to be a part of!

The current hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

So, if you have some time please call Regina Wyatt at (310) 323-4663 ext. 143

Remember, you will be representing the Lions organization so wear you Lions shirt.

Anthony Garcia
President 2009-2010, Norwalk Lions Club
